In the UAE, electricity costs approximately 30 fils per kWh, and a Tesla Model 3 costs around 5 fils per kilometer to operate. In comparison, a similar-sized petrol car can cost between 25 to 30 fils per kilometer, making EVs nearly 5 to 6 times more economical. Beyond fuel savings, electric vehicles also offer reduced maintenance costs, with minimal upkeep needed apart from brake pads and tires.
For home EV charging, you have two main options: Level 1 and Level 2 chargers. Level 1 chargers come with most vehicles and plug directly into standard sockets, but they are slow—often taking up to 24 hours for a full charge. Level 2 chargers, offering faster charging from 7.4kW to 22kW, require installation by a certified electrician. Our experts will recommend the optimal charging solution tailored to your usage. Charging time varies depending on charger speed, vehicle power rating, and battery size. On average, a Level 2 charger (7.4kW or 11kW) can charge your car from 50% to 100% in 3 to 6 hours.
For cost estimates, share your vehicle details and, if possible, a picture of your electrical panel. Our team will provide a complete, end-to-end solution, including supply and installation. Home EV chargers typically cost between AED 1,800 and AED 3,000 in Dubai. All our chargers come with a 2-year warranty covering repair or replacement, along with a workmanship warranty that ensures safety and proper installation.
